Welcome oldies lovers! I hope you enjoy the website and the radio station. I will be posting scheduled programming notifications as well as notifications regarding what playlist is currently playing on my station. I have several different playlists featuring different eras and/or genres that I mix up, sometimes in a moments notice. To give you an example, last weekend I was playing a playlist featuring rare doowops and teen records and had planned to stream that playlist during the whole weekend. My wife and I were visiting my brother and wife and he’s a big country & western fan. I was showing him my station and decided to switch to my classic country playlist right then and there. My goal is to provide enough variety that everyone who listens to the station will hear stuff that they enjoy. Even though doowop and the 50’s & 60’s music is my favorite genre and era, I do enjoy the other genres and eras I feature as well.
The current playlist primarily features both hits & rarities from the 50’s & 60’s with some classic AM & FM hits from the 70’s & 80’s and Late Model Oldies mixed in as well. There will be times, especially on the weekends, when I will play my “Everything Goes” playlist. When that playlist is running that means everything I have uploaded to my library is shuffled together and I let it rip!
The best way I can describe my station is like Forrest Gump’s mother described life as a box of chocolates. It’s totally unpredictable as you never quite know what is on deck! I think after listening to the station for a while you will agree that my library is far larger and much more diverse than most every other station out there!
